Premium Bonds holders searching on 1 August will not yet see the August results in the official checker. NS&I lists 4 August as the next results date and estimates an August prize pot of £447.38 million across about 6.42 million prizes.
When are the August 2026 Premium Bonds results available?
NS&I’s official prize checker currently says the next results will be available on 4 August. The August draw itself is scheduled around the first working days of the month, but the date a holder can check all prizes is the practical deadline that matters. A third-party page showing “winners” earlier may only contain high-value data or stale results.
Use the timestamp and month shown in the official checker before assuming a result is final. NS&I says its checker displays the current month, the previous six draws and older unclaimed prizes. The official app can also store holder details, while logged-in customers can review their prize history.

The estimated August prize pot is £447.38m across 6.42m prizes
NS&I’s allocation table estimates 6,421,715 prizes with a combined value of £447,379,350 for August. It includes two £1 million prizes, 85 prizes of £100,000 and 172 of £50,000. Most awards are in the lower bands: the estimate includes about 1.99 million £100 prizes, 1.99 million £50 prizes and 2.36 million £25 prizes.
Those figures are estimates and NS&I explicitly says the final allocation can change. The table explains the shape of the draw, not an individual holder’s expected payment. A large number of prizes does not mean every saver has a high chance of winning in any single month.

The prize fund rate is 3.80%, but it is not guaranteed interest
From the July 2026 draw, NS&I lists a variable annual prize fund rate of 3.80% and odds of 22,000 to one for each eligible £1 Bond in a monthly draw. Every eligible £1 unit has the same chance, so a larger holding creates more entries. The maximum holding is £50,000 and prizes range from £25 to £1 million.
The 3.80% rate is used to size the overall prize fund; it is not the return each person receives. Many holders will win nothing in a particular year, while a small number win far more than the average. Comparing Premium Bonds with a savings account requires considering guaranteed interest, tax position, access and the distribution of possible outcomes.

How to check safely without exposing account details
The website checker needs a holder’s number, normally nine or ten digits or eight digits followed by a letter. The official app can also use an NS&I number. Do not post either identifier in a public forum or enter it into an unfamiliar prize-checking site. Type nsandi.com directly or use a verified app-store listing.
NS&I says it contacts winners, but messages can be missed after an address or contact-detail change. A genuine prize does not require paying a fee or sharing online-banking credentials. If a message asks for money to release winnings, stop and contact NS&I using details from its official website.

Unclaimed prizes do not expire, but Premium Bonds are still a savings choice
NS&I says there is no time limit for claiming an unclaimed prize. The checker can reveal older awards, and customers should update their name, address and payment instructions. Direct bank payment or automatic reinvestment is generally faster and safer than waiting for a cheque.
Premium Bonds are backed by HM Treasury and the capital can normally be withdrawn without a penalty, but withdrawals take time and the prize return is uncertain. Compare the current variable rate and odds with cash ISAs and savings accounts, taking account of your tax position and need for predictable income.
